Metro Detroit Photowalker

First, many thanks to Trevor for creating this site and allowing me to post!

Howdy everybody! I’m Brett Veenstra and am currently shooting with a Canon Rebel XTi and the 28-105 f/3.5-4.5 and 75-300 f/4-5.6 lenses. My first “real” camera was my Dad’s Nikon and I had a lot of fun playing around with that in high school. I stopped back then because of costs and the “busyness” of life. Little did I know, some 20 years, wife, 5 kids, and a dog later that I’d eventually return. It’s so deeply satisfying to work and get “the shot” and enjoy it with others…

I’m looking forward to many photowalks with folks around the Detroit area. I like taking all types of photos currently (nothing has stuck with me yet).

Hi Brett!

I live in the Metro Detroit area and am glad you posted. I’m not sure how often I can get away to do a walk (you obviously know the routine — three kids and I have a husband with an unpredictable work schedule) but am interested in keeping up with news.

I’m Downriver so if anyone plans a walk down this way that would be great! Grosse Ile, Wyandotte or Elizabeth Park are probably interesting places.

Take care,
Annie
