Interested in catching some great photos of one of Southern California’s prime locations? Santa Barbara is just the place!

On September 16th, 2007, come join us for a great photowalk in Santa Barbara. The potential for some great images is huge.

  • The Pier
  • State Street, lots of people (some weird one’s too)
  • Santa Barbara Mission
  • The downtown Santa Barbara Courthouse, built in 1929
  • The waterfront & harbor
  • El Presidio de Santa Barbara, built in 1782 as a Spanish military fortress

What type of equipment do photo walkers usually take with them? My wife and I have had Canon Rebels XT and XTi. Are tripods or monopods recommended?

On most photowalks, I bring along my Nikon D40 and a few lenses. I’ll probably have my 10-20mm, 30mm, and my 55-200mm. Maybe a speedlight. I’ll also bring along a cheap, light tripod.

So, I’d suggest that you bring along a monopod or tripod, which ever you prefer.
