DC Photowalking on Saturday

This weekend’s DC photowalk is still on, and it looks as though the Alexandria waterfront and surrounding neighborhood is going to be our destination. It’s not as Metro-accessible as other locations, but what it lacks in convenience it makes up for with character. There’s plenty to see and photograph, including some of the area’s oldest architecture, the waterfront, and (of course) the people!

While we’re adjusting the itinerary, we’re also going to aim for an early morning shoot, to beat the afternoon crowding and heat.

When: 23 June @ 7:30AM

Where: The Torpedo Factory plaza, waterfront side. Directions, parking information, and maps are available via the Torpedo Factory web site.

If you’re planning on meeting up, drop me a line at the address above and include your contact information. If we miss one another in the plaza, we’ll make alternative arrangements. Goes without saying that we’ll be the group of people huddled around comparing cameras and gear!

Waaah! I just found this site, and see that this happened last week. How was the turnout? Any plans to do it again? I’m definitely interested next time.

Sorry that you missed us! We had a small turnout, as expected, but it actually worked to our advantage. We covered a lot of ground, were able to take a private tour, and had a generally good time.

And we’ll definitely be doing it again in the future, so stay tuned (or, by all means, organize a photowalk of your own, and we’ll be there if we can)!
