Full Moon Photowalk
On Thursday, May 31 there’s going to be a full moon. A good friend, Randy, has suggested that we take some time in the evening to do some shooting.
So, we’re meeting at a semi-remote location in the hills above Somis, CA. You’re welcome to join us, you’ll just have to contact me first. I’ll give you a more precise location once you contact me.
We’ll be visiting a nice rock quarry, which should provide for some nice moon lit shots as well.

I used to do some astrophotography with a 35mm SLR pentax, and 35mm SLR olympus along with a 90mm telescope. We had a lunar filter so we could focus on the moon without it burning the film but it was great fun.
I’m going to be making up a remote cable release for my Canon EOS 350d as I can try and capture stars during the night.
If you can try and lock the camera’s mirror up (assuming you have a dSLR) and see what you can do with a starry night.
