Another suggestion is to visit Kiev, Ukraine, with its churches and grand monasteries, parks and palaces. I published some pictures in my old blog http://kievsurvivalguide.blogspot.com . You may find it entertaining. If you come, just let me know, and I will show you Kiev :-)

@Andrew:
That's a great idea. Do you know anyone who writes grants? We could figure out a way to do this for 6 months at a time. You and me, then we'll interview a third person, selecting only the most unique. The three of us will attack the world, with our cameras!

@Buda Baby:
Death Valley! I never thought of that place. That's not to far either. We take multiple trips to Mammoth Lakes each year, it wouldn't be too much to take a half day over that direction. Thanks.

@Tyler Ingram:
I have a Nikon D40. I'll add all the details, including lenses, etc, on my "Authors" page.

You're all over the map here! I'd love to be able to travel to places like this too and spend tons of time photowalking.

With the possible exception of Mt. Whitney, I could spend a year in each of those photowalking and still have only scratched the surface of what's to see.
